Healthy Oat Cookies with Dark Chocolate Chips

Treat yourself to sweet moments and feel good inside and out! This time, we present high-fiber oat cookies that are easy to make and support stable energy levels throughout the day. Naturally low glycemic impact, rich in fiber, and made with wholesome ingredients.

 

Recipe created by nutritionist Eylul Yavuz, who specializes in holistic, evidence-based nutrition support.

 

INGREDIENTS (makes 10–12 cookies)

• 120 g rolled oats (optional GF)
• 1 ripe banana, mashed (or 60 ml maple syrup for lower banana taste)
• 1 egg (or 1 flax egg for plant-based)
• 2 tbsp almond butter or tahini
• 40 g dark chocolate chips
• 1 tsp cinnamon or vanilla extract
• ½ tsp baking powder
• Pinch of sea salt
• Optional protein boost: 20–25 g vanilla or neutral protein powder (plant or whey)

 

HOW TO MAKE
1. Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F)
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Mix wet ingredients
In a bowl, combine mashed banana, egg, and almond butter until smooth.
3. Add dry ingredients
Stir in oats, baking powder, cinnamon/vanilla, salt, and protein powder if using.
4. Fold in chocolate
Gently add dark chocolate chips.
5. Shape cookies
Scoop spoonfuls onto the tray and flatten slightly (they don’t spread much).
6. Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until edges are golden.
7. Cool
Let cool 5 minutes for best texture.
